Khao Sok National Park
- September 9, 2025
One of Thailand’s oldest and most biodiverse rainforests, Khao Sok National Park is a sanctuary of life and wonder. Towering limestone mountains, ancient trees, winding rivers, and mysterious caves make this a paradise for explorers. The rainforest here is over 160 million years old—older even than the Amazon—and is home to elephants, hornbills, gibbons, and the rare Rafflesia flower, the world’s largest bloom.
THANYAMUNDRA enjoys a truly privileged location, situated only 900 meters from the park entrance. Our property shares a boundary with the national park itself, separated only by the gentle flow of the Klong Sok River. This closeness means that the wild beauty of the park does not stop at its gates—it spills naturally into our retreat. Along our borders, guests can often see Dusky Langurs, playful and gentle leaf monkeys, as well as other local wildlife such as squirrels, civets, and a variety of birds crossing over from the park.
For our guests, this proximity creates a rare experience: the ability to enjoy the comfort and serenity of THANYAMUNDRA while still being immersed in the living rhythm of the jungle. Whether trekking deep into the park or simply sitting quietly by the river, the wonders of Khao Sok are always close at hand.
