Lakeside Restaurant in Thai–Japanese Garden

At the heart of our lakeside retreat stands a restaurant born from a simple yet meaningful vision: to create a dining experience that is both authentic and deeply connected to nature. Here, authentic Thai cuisine is prepared with care, using the freshest ingredients grown just steps away at THANYAMUNDRA Organic Farm. Most of the vegetables we serve are cultivated organically and then neatly washed with RO UV deep-well treated water, ensuring purity, safety, and the highest standard of freshness before they reach your plate. Each dish reflects Thailand’s culinary heritage while embracing the integrity of farm-to-table living.

Our restaurant is set within a Thai–Japanese garden, designed to celebrate the timeless principle of harmony with nature. In traditional Japanese garden philosophy, landscapes are created not to dominate nature but to blend seamlessly with it—framing views, balancing textures, and cultivating serenity. One of its most treasured ideas is “borrowed scenery” (shakkei), where distant mountains, trees, or skies are not hidden but embraced as part of the garden’s living composition.

In our garden, this philosophy comes to life. While the design reflects the elegant simplicity of a Japanese garden, 90% of the plants are native Thai species, proving that Thailand’s lush flora can shine within this refined aesthetic. The towering limestone cliffs, ancient rainforest, and tranquil waters of Khao Sok National Park become part of the landscape itself—a natural backdrop borrowed into the garden, enhancing its depth and beauty. Guests dining here do not simply sit by a lake; they are immersed in a living canvas where every angle offers a dialogue between crafted beauty and untouched wilderness.

This union of organic ingredients from THANYAMUNDRA, Japanese-inspired design, and Khao Sok’s majestic scenery creates an experience that is more than dining—it is a celebration of harmony, authenticity, and place.
